1. General
Visiting muSEEum is at your own risk. Parents or guardians are responsible for the behavior of children. Always follow the instructions of the staff. We kindly ask you to respect the decorations and dispose of your waste in bins. If you do not follow the rules or disturb the order, access to muSEEum may be denied, and you will not be entitled to compensation.
2. Access
You gain access to muSEEum when you reserve online, by phone, by email, or at the counter. The muSEEum may refuse you access, for example, if you have consumed alcohol or drugs or if you cause any problems.
3. Babies and children
The dark experience is suitable for ages 8 and older, and the Expeditie ribbelroute: through the city centre of Nijmegen is for ages 13 and older. Children younger than the recommended age may not participate.
Children aged 8-12 must be accompanied by an adult. If a child wishes to leave the experience, an adult must accompany them, including any other children under their supervision.
If the adult leaves the experience, all children under their supervision must leave as well. Pausing and later resuming the experience is not possible.
Babies in carriers or on arms are not permitted.
In these cases, no refunds or other compensation will be provided.
4. Disabled, hard of hearing, or pregnant
A large part of our building is wheelchair accessible, with a lift, accessible toilets, ramps, and wider doors.
The dark experience is not suitable for those with limited mobility or those using a wheelchair or walker. The Expeditie ribbelroute: through the city centre of Nijmegen is wheelchair accessible with an accompanying person who is not visually impaired and can manage the wheelchair.

5. Cancelling or changing the number of visitors
If the size of the group changes or you wish to cancel your visit, we are sorry to hear, but it is possible. With your reservation, we have reserved a spot(s) and scheduled a guide. Therefore, we charge cancellation or change fees. Click hier for the cancellation policy.
6. No refunds for absence, late arrival, or other circumstances
No refunds or other compensation will be provided in the following situations:
- If you or others are not present on time.
- In case of illness or absence.
- If your expectations of the visit do not match your experience.
- Due to delays.
- In case of technical problems.
- If you feel unwell.
- In case of loss or theft of your ticket(s).
- If you have a ticket from a third party that hasn’t been paid for.
- If you do not start or leave the experience for any reason.
We always try to arrange a guide, but sometimes it may not be possible due to illness or emergencies. If that happens, we offer alternative dates or cancel at no charge.
7. Safety and liability
For the safety of visitors, it is not permitted to enter technical or staff rooms.
8. Items brought with you
We offer free lockers for your belongings. Before entering the dark experience, we ask you to place all light-emitting items in a locker. Sound equipment and play items are not allowed during the experiences.
It is not allowed to bring weapons or dangerous objects (as determined by staff).
9. Food and drinks
It is not allowed to bring your own food or drink to muSEEum.
If you wish to have something to drink or a small snack, please order it at our muSEEum café.
10. Pets
Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome, except during the dark experience. We have a special, quiet area for them.

Other pets are not allowed for safety reasons for both the animals and the visitors.
11. Clothing and footwear
In the dark experience, it is not allowed to wear clothing or shoes that are light-emitting or reflective.
For all our experiences, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.
12. Photography and filming
Photography and filming are not allowed in the dark experience. On the activity square and during the Expeditie ribbelroute: through the city centre of Nijmegen, you may take photos for personal use. Publishing images or sound is only allowed with written permission from muSEEum.
We may film or photograph visitors. muSEEum always reserves the right to publish this material unless the visitor has indicated in advance that they do not want this.
13. Maximum number of participants per experience
A maximum of seven people can participate in the dark experience, and the maximum for the Expeditie ribbelroute: through the city centre of Nijmegen is six people. Sometimes we may combine smaller groups for an experience.
14. Damage and liability
The museum is carefully maintained. Safety for both the visitor and staff is a top priority. If you notice an unsafe situation as a visitor, please report it to a staff member.
Damage during your visit, or damage you accidentally cause, must be reported before departure for any necessary handling.
We are not responsible for damage unless it was intentionally caused by muSEEum or a staff member.
If items are given to us and are lost or damaged, we cannot be held liable, unless there is compensation from an insurer or third party.
The muSEEum is not liable for damage to personal property, clothing, or injury.
15. Promotion and sales
You may not promote or sell services or products in muZIEum or on the premises unless you have obtained prior written consent from the management.
16. Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the building.
17. Toilet use
During the approximately one-hour experience, there is no access to toilets. We recommend using the toilet before the experience.
18. Processing personal data
We value the privacy of our (website) visitors. We treat personal data with care and secure it according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will never sell or rent visitor data to others.
